Student of the Month May 2026: Gloria D. (Violin)

We’re delighted to celebrate Gloria as our Student of the Month for May.

Gloria was nominated by her violin teacher, Stephanie, who has been particularly impressed by the effort and enthusiasm she has shown in her lessons recently. Over the past few weeks, Gloria has made a fantastic start to learning about quavers and has been working hard to understand how these shorter note values fit into the music she plays.

Stephanie has also praised Gloria’s commitment to playing along with the backing tracks for her pieces. Learning to perform with accompaniment is an important musical skill, helping students develop their sense of rhythm, timing and listening. Gloria has approached this challenge with determination and a positive attitude, showing growing confidence each week.

What makes Gloria’s achievement especially worthy of recognition is the way she embraces new concepts and is willing to keep practising until she feels comfortable with them. Progress in music often comes from lots of small steps taken consistently, and Gloria is a wonderful example of how hard work and perseverance lead to success.
