Student of the Month June 2026: April D. (Keyboard)

We’re delighted to celebrate April as our Student of the Month for June.

April was nominated by her keyboard teacher, Mark, who wanted to recognise the fantastic commitment she has shown over the past few weeks. She has been working hard on her recital piece, putting in consistent effort lesson after lesson as she prepared to perform it on stage.

What makes April’s achievement even more special is that she has continued to focus on her music while also preparing for her SATs at school. It’s a busy and sometimes stressful time for many children, and it’s not unusual for students to take a break from their lessons. Instead, April has continued to attend, practise and make great progress, using her music lessons as a positive distraction during a demanding few weeks.

Mark has been really impressed with the dedication April has shown throughout her preparation. Learning a performance piece takes patience, resilience and plenty of repetition, and April has approached the challenge with a brilliant attitude from start to finish.

Well done, April! We’re incredibly proud of your hard work and determination, and we hope you thoroughly enjoyed performing your recital piece.
