Student of the Month August 2025: Millie McA. (Saxophone)
Every month at Sweet Symphony School of Music we recognise a student who has shown outstanding effort and progress in their lessons. For August, that student was Millie, one of our fantastic saxophone players.
Millie was nominated for “great work each week and improved playing of Beauty and the Beast on her sax.” Her teacher has been particularly impressed with the consistent effort she brings to every lesson.
Over the past few weeks, Millie has been working on Beauty and the Beast, and it’s been wonderful to hear how her playing has developed. Each lesson has brought a little more confidence, smoother phrasing and stronger control of the instrument.
What makes Millie’s progress especially rewarding to see is her steady commitment. She listens carefully to feedback, applies what she learns, and continues building on her skills week after week.
That kind of consistency is exactly what helps students grow as musicians, and Millie is a brilliant example of how regular effort leads to real improvement.
A huge well done to Millie on being named Student of the Month. We’re looking forward to hearing even more from her saxophone playing as she continues her musical journey with us.
