PORTAL HOW-TO…Cancel and Reschedule A Lesson

After their first lesson with us, every Student (and Parent) is given access to our Online Student Portal. Once logged in, you’ll have access to a whole range of useful tools, including cancelling and rescheduling lessons, booking into exams, seeing all your Teachers’ comments from previous lessons, accessing useful lesson resources and much, much more!

Today’s post explains how to cancel and rechedule a lesson.

Step 1: Cancel

We realise that sometimes things pop up, and you can’t always attend your lessons as planned. To cancel a lesson is so easy – just log into the Portal and take a look at your profile. You’ll see all your upcoming lessons listed in the middle of the page.

Just click “Cancel” beside the date you can’t attend, and that lesson will be cancelled!

Step 2: Reschedule

Once you’ve cancelled a lesson, you’ll automatically receive a Reschedule Credit (RC) in lieu of that lesson. Reschedule Credits last for 7 days, and can be used wherever your Teacher has a suitable space.

To use your Reschedule Credit, head to the right-hand-side of your profile page and you should see your RC listed – it’ll even detail which lesson the credit is orignally from. Click “Use” and you’ll be taken to a page where you can book in to any spaces your Teacher has elsewhere in their schedule.

Step 3: Relax

That’s it! You’re booked in! It really is that easy!

Just Remember

Reschedule Credits must be used within 7 days of receiving them, but that doesn’t mean you have to book in your rescheduled lesson in the next 7 days…you can book in wherever you can see a space, but if the RC is not used within 7 days it will expire.

Slots for rescheduling are created when another Student cancels their lesson. We can’t predict when and where this will happen, so if you’re looking to use a RC we advise that you regularly check the Portal to find a suitable space.

Group Students – make sure to only book in a rescheduled lesson with your original Teacher. This is who has been paid for your original lesson, and so this is who must teach the rescheduled lesson, too. 1:1 Students will only see spaces for their original Teacher.

If you have any problems using the Portal, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to talk you through the process.
